A great morning spent in Whiteley distributing leaflets and speaking to residents about the forthcoming two elections on Thursday 2nd.May; Winchester City Council and a Hampshire County Council by-election for Meon Valley.
Ably supported by friends from the East Hampshire Green Party and Test Valley Greens, we managed to cover a large area in and around the new housing developments. Their help is much appreciated and a fine example how Greens get together when there’s work to be done.
Standing for Whiteley & Shedfield in the City Council election is Kate Needham and for the County Council by-election, Winchester City, Cllr. Malcolm Wallace.
With less than two weeks to go, our momentum is building; a record number of requests for ‘Vote Green’ boards and many residents being visited both in the City and around the surrounding Villages.
The response from residents is very positive and thankful for the hard work our two City Councillors have already put in.
And not forgetting one of our biggest supporters…..
