A single bus ticket price cap of £2 is very welcome!
Unfortunately only until End of March.
End of 2022 a Stagecoach Single ticket from Winchester to places like West Meon, Cheriton, Arlesford or Romsey cost £5.90.
A Bluestar Single between Southampton and Winchester cost as much a £7.
From 1st of January, all of these Single fares have been capped at £2 only.
But be AWARE that Return tickets may still cost the same as before. This means that a Return may cost you more than the price of 3 Single tickets to the same destination (Stagecoach website screenshot).
Recalculate your day tickets too because these may not save you as much compare to single journeys anymore.

Not all bus companies are part of this scheme and school buses are excluded too (as if children have more money).
